Mean Girls star Li Lo has had to abandon plans for her 22nd birthday because of lack of funding. The troubled actress had originally envisaged a lavish Moroccan themed bash, held at an exclusive mansion in Malibu, to celebrate her special day. However Li Lo’s management team weren’t too happy about coming up with the necessary funds needed to throw the expensive party. So, oddly enough, she decided to hire a company to try and find sponsors for the event. Soon a websitehad been launched to help promote the booze-hound’s party. In a desperate attempt to grab attention for the has-been actress, the promoters wrote:
"Sponsors will have a unique branding opportunity to an internationally media worthy event. Lindsay and her 10 closes girlfriends will start the celebration in the early afternoon with spa treatments including manicures, facials and massages. Upon nightfall an intimate group of 75 VIP guests will gather for dinner, performances and most importantly to help Lindsay blow out the candles on her 22nd Birthday cake."
Unfortunately, after weeks of promotions, the company weren’t able to drum up enough interest for the star’s party and eventually she had to abandon her plans for a rather more frugal affair.
This is the second time Li Lo has had to reconsider her birthday party, last year she called off her 21st bash in Las Vegas after checking into rehab.
Don’t worry Lindsay, it doesn’t cost much to play your favourite party game, spin the bottle, does it?
