But Hathaway insists the ex-grappler didn't take the blow to the skull too badly.
She told BANG Showbiz: "What can I say about Mr Dwayne Johnson? If you kick him in the head he's nice about it.
"In the scene where I kick him in the head I would like everyone to know that it actually happened and, for the last time, I'm very, very, very sorry about it."
The 25-year-old actress also revealed she is great friends with her co-star Steve Carell - who stars in the US version of Ricky Gervais' hit sit-com 'The Office' - insisting he is "lovely".
She said: "I wish I had a secret to tell about him but he is just lovely and think everyone can tell that."

Give Anne Hathaway's Ex Credit (Cards)

"Devil Wears Prada" star Anne Hathaway’s arrested (ex) boyfriend, Raffaelo Follieri, is being questioned about claims he made about ties to the Catholic Church and the Vatican
Well, there’s at least one Catholic group that liked him: The Society for Propagation of the Faith, a group of Catholic missionaries founded in 1822 by Pauline Jaricot.
Follieri is still advertising — through one of his websites — a Visa credit card registered with Washington Mutual that benefited that group which is supposed to be a charity designed, vaguely, to foster Catholic values.
But a check of charities registered with the name Society (etc.) comes up with very little. There are a couple of organizations listed through GuideStar, the charity registry, under that name. Only one, in Pittsburgh, has any money: $100,000 in net assets.

OMG! SEE PICS Anne Hathaway wears Kate Winslet's Oscar dress (well almost)

Anna Hathaway arrived at Sunday's Oscars at the Kodak Theatre in LA in a fab red dress. Only trouble was, it was almost identical to the red Ben de Lisi gown that Kate Winslet wore in 2002.

'I had to go up to Steve with my red and puffy eyes, dripping green… I am just snotty and I’m just like: “Come here.” ‘The worst thing was I didn’t know that I had conjunctivitis, so I had to call our producer that night and say: “Yeah, you might want to call Steve and let him know I had pinkeye and my tears kind of got in my mouth when we kissed!”’Despite the condition, Anne, 25, insists the kiss was enjoyable.‘Making out with him is like the yummiest lollipop, dipped in sunshine and wrapped in a masculine wrapper!’ she says. ‘That’s the only way I can think to describe it.’

Charity run by Hathaway's boyfriend investigated

The state is investigating the charitable foundation of Anne Hathaway's boyfriend, a spokesman for the attorney general said Monday. Italian businessman Raffaello Follieri, 29, who dates the "Devil Wears Prada" star, heads the Follieri Foundation, a charity whose work includes vaccinating children in Third World countries.
New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is heading the probe, Cuomo spokesman Matt Glazer said. He said he could not comment further on the ongoing investigation.
The Foundation has not filed IRS tax disclosure forms required from charities, according to a review of records by the Associated Press.
The New York Post, which first reported the investigation, said Hathaway was previously on the foundation's board of directors, but it was unclear when or for how long.
"There is an investigation going on that does not involve Anne," said Stephen Huvane, Hathaway's publicist, in an e-mail. "She is no longer a board member of the Follieri Foundation. Other than that we will not be commenting." The number for a Follieri at his Manhattan apartment was disconnected.

Anne Hathaway's Italian beau has money trouble

BEIJING, June 10 (Xinhuanet) -- The money trouble of Anne Hathaway's Italian beau Raffaello Follieri is not over yet.
The Follieri Foundation, a charity operated by Follieri, is being investigated by New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, the New York Post reported Monday.
While the exact nature of the inquiry is currently unknown, the attorney general's office has confirmed that it has issued subpoenas for various financial records of the Manhattan-based charity, which says its programs include vaccinating Third World children.
A representative for Follieri said the 29-year-old businessman "looks forward to concluding this matter in a timely and expeditious manner...so that he may continue to fulfill his ongoing philanthropic endeavors worldwide."
Until last year, Hathaway, 25, sat on the foundation's board of directors and traveled with the charity. The actress' representative said Hathaway is no longer associated with the foundation, although he didn't "remember exactly when she ceased to be a board member."
Follieri has been dating Hathaway since 2005. This is the latest in his string of legal woes. In April, he was arrested in Manhattan after he was charged with bouncing a 215,000 U.S. dollars check.
Earlier this year, Follieri settled a lawsuit filed by Los Angeles billionaire Ron Burkle, who accused him and the Follieri Group of "systematically misappropriating" at least 1.3 million dollars of more than 55 million dollars that Burkle's company had contributed to a joint venture to buy and redevelop Catholic Church properties. The two sides settled earlier this year.

Anne Hathaway's Boyfriend Charged with Trying to Pass a Bad Check

Anne Hathaways boyfriend Raffaelo Follieri has been arrested and charged with trying to pass a bad check, reportedly for around $250,000. New York police spokesman Detective Martin Speechley confirms officers picked up and charged Follieri on Thursday, while TMZ.com reports the Italian property developer bounced a check worth $250,000. The Web site claims Follieri has since been released from custody and is working with police to sort out what he claims is a misunderstanding. Last year, U.S. supermarket billionaire Ron Burkle sued Follieri for allegedly squandering $1.3 million of his business money to support his lavish lifestyle. Follieri denied the accusation.
