Eva Mendes may have been researching role in rehab

When Eva Mendes checked herself into rehab in January, the move shocked Hollywood, but now it seems she might actually have been preparing for a movie role. The Ghost Rider star reportedly admitted herself to the Cirque Lodge centre in Utah to address “some personal issues”, but now industry insiders are speculating that she was really researching the part of a Spanish drug lord which she is now playing in the film Queen of the South. Acting coach John Kirby, who has not worked with the star, told reporters, "It's not unusual at all for an actor or actress to go to the extreme of checking into rehab to prepare for a character."SOURCE:
