Kate Moss hair extension sells for 805 euros in eBay: report

BERLIN (AFP) - A blonde hair extension that British supermodel Kate Moss reputedly lost in Berlin has been auctioned on eBay for 805 euros (1,264 dollars), Bild newspaper said on Friday. Moss, 34, shed the hairpiece while trying to duck paparazzi as she returned to the plush Hotel Adlon after a night out in the German capital last month, according to press reports.
The photographer who then posted it on eBay plans to donate the proceeds to a German anti-drugs charity, Bild said.

Spitzer call girl drops 'Girls Gone Wild' lawsuit

MIAMI (AP) — The call girl involved in a scandal that brought down New York's former governor has dropped a lawsuit claiming "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis exploited her image and name on the Internet. Ashley Dupre voluntarily dismissed the $10 million federal lawsuit, according to court documents filed Thursday. She said she was only 17 when she signed a binding contract giving permission to appear in the "Girls Gone Wild" video.
Telephone calls and e-mails to Dupre's lawyer and publicist were not immediately returned Friday.
Francis said in a statement issued late Friday night that "the truth invariably comes out, as I knew it would in this case. I am happy to, once again, be completely vindicated."
In her lawsuit, Dupre said she was on spring break in Miami Beach in 2003 when she was approached by "Girls Gone Wild" producers, given alcoholic drinks and then signed a release agreeing to appear. The series depicts women in provocative poses or topless, often in such party locations as Mardi Gras or spring break beach towns.
Francis has said Dupre was on the "Girls Gone Wild" bus for a week and made seven full-length videos.

Scarlett: Monogamy's Still Not Natural

Los Angeles (E! Online) - Scarlett Johansson's still backpedaling to explain her we-breed-like-animals comments a couple of years ago. "I don't think it's a natural instinct for human beings, but it doesn't mean I don't believe in monogamy or true love. I believe in finding a soul mate," she tells the August issue of Cosmo.
Sweet. But just when you think fiancé Ryan Reynolds can breathe a sigh of relief, ScarJo goes and blabs again: "Monogamy can be hard work for some people. I don't think it applies to everybody, and I don't think a lot of people can do it."
Resisting the urge to add fuel to the fire? Also apparently hard work.

Alex Rodriguez has split from wife

NEW YORK - Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez and his wife have split less than three months after the birth of the couple's second daughter, according to a report in the New York Daily News. The story on the newspaper's Web site comes amid reports linking Rodriguez to Madonna. Rodriguez refused to address the topic on three occasions Tuesday, once saying "no" when asked if he had any comment.
Yankees co-chairman Hank Steinbrenner also criticized the team's lack of hitting before an 18-7 win over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday night, suggesting "a little less outside distractions and a little more concentrating" might help the team at the plate.
The Daily News reported Wednesday night, citing an anonymous source, that Rodriguez and wife, Cynthia, have separated after having "problems" for about three months.
Cynthia Rodriguez's mother, Evangeline Scurtis, also denied a gossip Web site report that her daughter had gone on a romantic getaway with rocker Lenny Kravitz to Paris.
"She is not! I know that," Scurtis told The Daily News.
Scurtis repeatedly declined comment when asked about her daughter's relationship with Rodriguez.
The couple was married in November 2002 and has two children, Natasha Alexander and Ella Alexander, who was born April 21.
Rodriguez went 2-for-3 Wednesday night with his 17th homer of the season and also scored four times. It also was

Book on celeb drug troubles

A book by authors Adriano Sack and Ingo Niermann will reveal drug problems of celebrities like Sir Elton John, Courtney Love and Whitney Houston.
These artists have struggled with drugs and the book The Curious World of Drugs and Their Friends claims to give "fun and fascinating facts" about "every conceivable kind of drug and the people who use them", reports contactmusic.com.
Sack and Niermann write about John admitting to his drug addiction problems saying: "I did not know how to speak to anyone unless I had a nose full of cocaine."
Scheduled for August release, the book also includes stories of celebrities like George Michael, Amy Winehouse and Beach Boys' singer Brian Wilson.

Pamela Anderson calls Jessica Simpson a bitch and a whore

SHE hasn't even entered the Big Brother house, but already Pamela Anderson is courting controversy after calling Jessica Simpson a "bitch" and a "whore".
Anderson's comments stem from Simpson wearing a T-shirt last week proclaiming: “Real girls eat meat.”
Speaking on Australian radio on the Gold Coast - where she’s waiting to go into the Big Brother house on July 9 - Anderson ripped into the fellow blonde.
She said: "I think (Jessica) is a bitch and whore.
“Actually, I don't know if she was talking about food or men."
She added that she is proud of not eating meat, saying: “I think it's healthy, good for your body and good for the environment."
Anderson's rep later insisted the star's comments were meant in jest.
The spokesperson told the New York Daily News, "She was joking."

Gabriella Cilmi's VIP fling in tartan at Glastonbury

The 16-year-old matched trendsetter Kate Moss in the traditional Festival footwear department and went one better, thanks to her lucrative fashion deal with Italian style giant, Dolce & Gabbana.
Leaving the denim and dungarees to Moss et al, Cilmi dressed the part of the music world's most likely in a corsetted tartan creation straight from the D&G fashion house in Milan.
Despite keeping her cool among the all-star musical line-up, the Melbourne teen showed her age when gushing about the free goodies she's bagged since storming the charts.
"I got this tartan kind of dress and these corsety things, but they're not really corsets, they just have, like, a zip at the back," she gushed in a recent interview.
"It's really cool. And, like, these really awesome dresses, (are) just really nice. I get to keep them because I wear them to other events and stuff like that."
The Sweet About Me singer has won over the UK press with her girlish charm and solid vocals.
After appearing on London's morning chat show GMTV Cilmi endearingly said the studio performance - with minimal crowd participation - almost put her off her game.
"What's funny is when you finish and hear this solitary clapping from the sofa. For a split second, you think, 'only one person clapping? How bad was I'?"
Not bad at all back home either, given her debut single has remained in the top 10 (at No.6), fifteen weeks after its entry.
Meanwhile, it was Bob Geldof's youngest daughter Pixie who again
grabbed attention among the A-list crowd at the UK song-a-thon.
The wild child has kept London's tabloids on their toes with her daily hairstyles, arriving as a blonde, sporting a red wig on day two, then wrapping her head in a orange turban.
